Seven First Diagnostic™ rapid test kit boxes

What we do

We select rapid tests from established in vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturers, supply them under our own brands and support the distributors who take them to market. The range is built around lateral flow tests: single-use cassettes that give a visual, qualitative result in minutes without an instrument.

  • Supply. Branded rapid tests for infectious disease, sexually transmitted infections, prenatal serology, cardiac markers and general health.
  • Documentation. Product inserts published for download and regulatory documents provided on request.
  • Distributor support. Qualification of new distributors and supply by region through the Country Station.
  • Representation. Sales representation for diagnostic manufacturers looking for distribution partners.

How our products are sourced and documented

First Diagnostic does not manufacture tests. Each product is made by an IVD manufacturer and labeled for First Diagnostic. The instructions for use packed with the kit are the reference for the intended use, the specimen, the procedure, the read time, the storage conditions and the performance data.

Each product page states its source. Where a published insert reports sensitivity and specificity against a comparator method and the figures agree with its data table, we publish them with the sample counts. Where no insert is published, the page gives catalog facts only and no performance claims. Details are on the quality and regulatory page.

Who we supply

Our products are intended for organizations that use or distribute tests professionally: medical distributors and importers, public health programs, hospitals, clinical laboratories and clinics. We supply buyers outside the United States; our products are not cleared, approved or authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are not offered for sale there.

Where we are heading

Two longer-term goals sit alongside the current range: digital reading of lateral flow results through a cassette reader, and rapid detection of tumor-associated markers, a research area we follow in the resource center. Both are goals, not products, and we will describe each as available only when it is.

How we write and review this website

Medical and technical content on this site is written for healthcare and procurement professionals. Product facts come from the product insert or, where no insert is published, from our catalog. Guides in the resource center cite the public health and regulatory sources they rely on. Each page shows when it was last reviewed.

If you find an error, email sales@firstdiagnostic.com and we will correct it.
